Cultural expectations shade and color the images that parents-to-be form. The baby product ads, showing a woman serenely holding her child, looking blissfully and mysteriously contented, or the television parents, wisely and humorously solving problems, influence parents-to-be.
Parents are the unsung heroes of every person that has ever done anything great. Think about the people that you most admire in your life. Do you attribute any of their greatness to the people that raised them? Often, we do not even think about the fact that they were most likely two people who were most influential in making a person who they are.If a person is great, remember that greatness is not achieved in a vacuum. There were people who sowed the seeds of greatness.
Until you have a child of your own... you will never know the joy, the love beyond feeling that resonates in the heart of a father as he looks upon his child. You will never know the sense of honor that makes a man want to be more than he is and to pass something good and hopeful into the hands of his offspring. And you will never know the heartbreak of the fathers who are haunted by the personal demons that keep them from being the man they want their children to look up to .
My daughter is like a painting, ABSTRACT and rather one of a K I N D, with love and joy to fill her fathers HEART which truly makes her so divine. With the smile of a princess and the softness of a dove, until this day i can honestly say i know how it feels to be LOVED.
