SOUTH CENTRAL

Despite the improvements in the local economy thanks to financial assistance to introduce new retail stores and other employment development to the area, South Los Angeles remains known for its notorious gangs. The tension between Black and Latino gangs has led to increased racially-motivated gang violence since the early-1990s. The percentage of African-American residents in South Los Angeles is about half of what it was in 1990, as Latin American (i.e. Guatemalan, Salvadoran, Honduran, and Mexican) immigrants became the majority, as in many of the older sections of Los Angeles. However, violent crime in this region, although still high, has been decreasing since 1992. In recent years, there's been an influx of white and Asian families moving in some communities of South Los Angeles due to the process of gentrification and revitalization.

It's now 2009 and absolutely nothing has changed in California, racism is still alive black on black crimes still occur all-over. Our society gets worse as long as the recession is in effect,
WILL IT BECOME ANY BETTER OVER THE YEARS FOR OUR KIDS AND GRAND CHILDREN? SHOULD MOTHERS HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THEIR YOUNG MEN BEING AWAY FROM HOME? WHY ARE ALL OF OUR PRISONS FULL?

-Stop Racial Profiling
-Stop Gang Violence
-Stop Trashing Your Cities
-Believe in "A" GOD

Let's all make our surroundings safer for E V E R Y O N E!!!!
