New, But Old....Kanye Stirs up Controversy
It is the artist's job to provoke and to question the minds of his/her suitors as well as to entertain. Kanye West has presented a riddle of a song with "flashing lights" and does the same with this video. This is literate artwork, illuminating the minds of those who ascend to comprehend it, and eschewing the attitudes of those that do not. It would be more pragmatic to do a cliche video of clubs and champaigne to accompany this song. But that is not what this song or this artist is. This is a riddle. She took "it" this far. After it's all said and done, this video will be remembered for its unconventionality, its bravery, and most importantly, its art.
